La Boqueria, La Playa, & La Cena

This was post was written on 6/7/19 and posted on 6/10/19.

After La Sagrada Familia, it was time for lunch. Instead of finding somewhere nearby, we decided to head to La Boqueria by underground train. This was a sight to see. I don’t really have much to say that the pictures can’t say for me, so enjoy the colors, flavors, and sights of La Boqueria.

Next, it was back to the hotel to rest, swim (for the kids), and take a midterm (for me).

After this, we decided to head to the beach. We had heard how amazing the Barcelona beaches are so we wanted to check it out. Again, not much to add, except my kids saw nude sunbathers and I fear that is the only thing they will remember about Barcelona.

After the beach, we were ready for dinner. It was already 7:00pm. After wandering for awhile, we headed to a place with good Trip Advisor reviews. Well, there was an hour wait for a party of six, so we went around the corner to this beautiful square that had restaurants all around the edge. We picked a restaurant and ate there.

Kind of funny, we were waiting outside for Dan and Jack to use the restroom and I hear my name. They were washing their hands in front of the window overlooking the square.

It was good food and near La Rambla so we walked back to our hotel along La Rambla, a beautiful street known for its night life and shopping. Dan and Kate picked up some Oreo Gelato also!

As we were walking by a Sephora, there was a slide to enter the store. Of course we couldn’t resist and had to “slide in” to Sephora because it was so unique. We got in around 10:00pm and I took another midterm exam and it is a little after midnight here now, but I don’t want to get behind on my posts!

Off to bed for more fun in Barcelona tomorrow before we board the cruise ship!
