Today, we decided to stay in then Port City of Genova (Genoa). Our plan was to sleep in, walk around Genova, and eat lunch, find wireless internet and head back to the boat. At first, we were not a fan of this port. However, as the day went on we became more comfortable. We first went to Piazza de Ferarri. The kids played in the water awhile before we wandered further.

We ended up in the Genova Municipio building. It was a beautiful building that displayed 18th century art, including murals of Marco Polo and Christopher Columbus. Genova is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. I find it amazing how in Europe, but especially Italy you can just stumble into beautiful buildings and works of art.

Next, we met back up with my parents and found a restaurant that served pizza. The pizza was 6.50 Euros so we thought they were individual so we each ordered one. They we’re not individual. They were more like a medium and very good. Good crust, very little sauce, and lots of cheese.

We found a cafe near the port with Wi-Fi and spent some time there before returning to the boat.
