We left Disneyland Paris from the Chessy train station at 9am. The advantage of the smaller DLP campus is that it took us about 10 minutes to walk from hotel to train station. At Chessy, we got on a train to Lille France. From Lille France, we took a Eurotrain under the English Channel (Through the Chunnel) to Europe. The Eurostar is a high speed rail service that connects major cities all over Europe. We left Chessy at 9:00am and arrived in Lille at 10:17am. We left Lille at 11:35am and arrived in London at 11:57am (lost an hour in time zone change).

We arrived at King’s Cross Stration in London. There was a piano in the middle of a station and a man sat down a started playing.

At King’s Cross Station, we bought our Oyster Card for the week. This covers all London transportation. We bought a 7 day pass for Zones 1-3. Other than going to the airport, we would not leave Zone 3. I think the cost was around 225 pounds. After we bought our passes, we took a train to Paddington Station. Our hotel is connected to Paddington Station. After we got checked in at our hotel, we headed out to grab lunch… our first fish and chips and warm beer in London.

We did a little sight seeing around Hyde Park then got changed to meet my Aunt Janet and Uncle Tom, who were also visiting London, for Dinner at Roka, a sushi restaurant. After dinner, we took the train back to the hotel and called it a night.
