Today, we ported in A Coruña, Spain and immediately hooped on a tour bus to Santiago de Compostela. Santiago is the capital city of Galicia and is most well known for as the destination of the Way of St. James, a Catholic pilgrimage route since the 9th century. In 1985, the old town of Santiago was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Yesterday, in Baiona and Portugal, we saw many pilgrims on one of the pilgrimage paths, like the yellow arrow in one of my pictures. This is the end point for these pilgrims. To walk the pilgrimage, you must walk at least 100km, or you can bike 200 km or ride a horse 150km.

After our visit to Santiago de Compostela, we were worn out from all our excursions and headed back to enjoy the boat for the afternoon.
Sea day tomorrow, then we will disembark in Southampton, UK!
