11/23/2025
If I go back to March or April 2025, this is the date that started this whole trip. Leslie Odom Jr. Announced he would be reprising his role of Aaron Burr in Hamilton on Broadway. Leslie Odom Jr. is Kate’s favorite cast member of the original Broadway cast. As soon as he announced his reprise, I was looking for the best date for us. It turns out the Sunday before Thanksgiving was, at the time, his last performance and with school out, it seemed the best day for us to go. I immediately grabbed some great tickets and started planning this trip.
Back to present day, I really wanted to go to the social media famous Ralph’s Coffee inside the Ralph Lauren flagship store. We got an early start to our day and walked through Central Park to get there. I think Central Park would be a beautiful walk in any season, but catching the end of fall was a delight.

Upon arrival to Ralph’s Coffee, we chose to wait for a table. They told us it would be a 20 minute wait and we ended up waiting close to an hour. After we got seated, we realized how tiny the space was and how few tables could accommodate four people. Ralph’s Coffee is so cute with good drinks and good food. We were told to try the hot chocolate and it did not disappoint. With all the wonderful places to eat and drink in NYC, we don’t think it was worth a hour wait, but maybe a 20 minute wait.

From Ralph’s Coffee, we walk back to the hotel to get ready for Hamilton. The windows on the way back were fun.

Then it was off to Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. It was absolutely amazing, as expected. For Jack, it was basically his first time seeing it and he loved it and Dan stayed awake the entire time!

After Hamilton, we went back to the room, then it was off to dinner at Tavern on the Green. Tavern on the Green is an iconic New York City restaurant. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere is so cozy and warm.

After dinner, we walked back to our hotel and watched Miracle on 34th Street.
