When we booked our hotel, Hilton Midtown, we specifically booked a room that we could watch the parade in. Dan spent a significant amount of time on the phone with a representative of the hotel to ensure we got a great room to view the parade. This is why we booked this particular hotel. We entered disappointed. The lower part of the hotel blocked any view of the street. If you put your face up against the window you could see a sliver of the parade coming. We had a decent view of the parade once it was past our hotel, so the backside of everything.

We spent the day watching Christmas movies. Dan went to The Halal Guys food truck across the road and brought us back lunch. For dinner, we ate in a old carriage house in Greenwich Village called “One if by land, and two if by Sea”. It is a beautiful candlelit restaurant and we really enjoyed our food.
