On to Barcelona!

This post was written 6/6/19 and posted on 6/7/19.

After a completely exhausted night, we made it to our beds in Barcelona. We had a uneventful 2 hour flight, 25 minute train ride, and 20 minute walk to get to our hotel.

Catching some sleep on our London-Barcelona Flight

This got us there at about 12:30am Barcelona Time (5:30pm CST). The kids got passport stamps. Unfortunately, we did not get stamps in London. Looking back, they might have had a stamp available had I asked.

We stepped off the train to be welcomed by a Gaudi building.

Then we got to our hotel and our key didn’t work. After a few trips back down to the lobby, the manager figured out the door lock battery was dead (which we figured). Then he brought up the wrong batteries, but luckily Dan had bought some for the kids cameras, so we just gave ours to him so we could go to bed. We finally got in at 1:30am. It was no ones fault, but we were so tired.

So exhausted. Waiting to get into room.

Our hotel, Catalonia Diagonal Centro, is very nice. It has a good location, is clean and has everything we need. The staff was extremely helpful during the mishap and worked hard to get us into our room. It is a typical European hotel. The rooms are smaller. The beds are pretty much pushed together and the bathroom has a bidet.

Sleep Now, Sight See Tomorrow.
